Modular AI · Knowledge Infrastructure
Your company already has the answers.
Modly connects the tools your teams already use — docs, chat, code, CRM, tickets — and turns scattered knowledge into grounded, cited answers everyone can trust.
The problem
Most companies don't have a knowledge problem. They have an access problem.
Scattered & unsearchable
The answer exists — in a doc, thread, or ticket nobody can find.
Trapped tribal knowledge
When one person leaves, the "how" and "why" leave with them.
Generic AI guesses
Off-the-shelf AI can't see your business — so it invents answers.
How it works
From scattered information to usable intelligence
- 01
Connect systems
OAuth into Slack, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Salesforce, Google Drive & more.
- 02
Build context
Bundle sources into role-specific Context Profiles for each team.
- 03
Ask naturally
Plain-language questions, answered with inline citations to the source.
- 04
Trust the answer
Permission-aware and auditable — every answer traces to its origin.
Why it's different
Generic AI gives generic answers. Company-connected AI gives useful ones.
Generic AI
- · Answers from the public internet, frozen at training time
- · No idea what your company decided or why
- · Can't cite a source you're able to verify
- · Ignores who is allowed to see what
- · Confidently invents an answer when it doesn't know
Modly — company-connected
- ✓ Grounded in your docs, code, chat, tickets & CRM
- ✓ Knows your processes, customers & history
- ✓ Cites every source so the answer is verifiable
- ✓ Respects each person's permissions on every query
- ✓ Says what it doesn't know instead of guessing
Keep the model you love — we're model-agnostic. Modly isn't a competitor to ChatGPT or Copilot — it's the layer that makes them useful on your data. Run it on OpenAI's GPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic's Claude, or your own self-hosted models, and set the allowed models per organization.
Integrations
Connect the tools your knowledge already lives in
GitHub
Repos, code, and pull requests.
Slack
Channel threads and decisions.
Jira
Issues, projects, and status.
Confluence
Spaces, pages, and docs.
Salesforce
Accounts, cases, and knowledge.
Google Drive
Docs across My Drive & Shared.
Bitbucket
Repositories and source.
The payoff
What changes when knowledge is finally usable
Fewer repeat questions
Stop pinging colleagues for answers that already exist. New hires ramp by asking, not by interrupting.
Faster, better decisions
Answers arrive with their sources attached, so people can act with confidence instead of second-guessing.
Knowledge that stays
Institutional knowledge lives in the layer, not in one person's head — so it doesn't walk out the door.
Not just for software teams
Every team has knowledge worth connecting

FAQ
Questions, answered
What exactly is Modly?
Modly — short for Modular AI — is an organizational intelligence layer. It connects the tools your teams already use and turns their knowledge into grounded, cited, permission-aware answers, then extends into automation and agents over time.
How is this different from ChatGPT or Copilot?
Those tools answer from general knowledge. Modly answers from your knowledge — your docs, code, tickets, chat and CRM — and cites the exact source. And it's not either/or: Modly is model-agnostic, so you can run it on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or your own self-hosted models while keeping answers grounded in your business.
Which systems can I connect?
GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Bitbucket, Google Docs and Salesforce today, via OAuth — with per-platform health and resource discovery. More providers are on the roadmap.
Will it expose information people shouldn't see?
No. Retrieval is permission-aware — stale, missing or expired access is treated as zero access — and answers are scoped to the Context Profile you're using. Every query is logged and auditable.
Do we need a technical team to run it?
No. Connecting a source is an OAuth click, and Context Profiles are configured in the admin console. Modly manages the ingestion, indexing and reasoning infrastructure for you.
Is it only for software companies?
Not at all. Any organization with documentation, customer data or regulated workflows — healthcare, legal, accounting, operations, sales, support — can turn its knowledge into answers.
Our mission
Bringing the knowledge base to everyone.
Every company — not just software teams — is sitting on years of knowledge. Modly makes it findable, understandable, and usable for every person in the org.
